1) After steel framing roof and walls are completed then we go inside the building and
2) Spray all of the interior roof and walls with 2"inches of Lapolla closed cell foam, this will also add up to 30% shear strength to the Aframe or Tipi, and will make one complete tight bond and seal to the roof metal and galvanized steel frame , this will enhance the structural integrity. By using the Lapolla closed cell foam in this manner creates a great moisture and vapor barrier also, optional we spray Firefree 88 fire resistant coating on the foam.
3) For a longer fire rating, the Lapolla closed cell foam has a flash fire rating also will not flame. This method with the steel frame and exterior metal roof and walls equals a superior fire resistance, and storm proofing.
4) Next we leave 2"inches of vented open air space sealed.
5) A Layer of Innovative Insulation Inc. Super R radiant barrier reflective foil, Heat vents out between this hollow vented space, heat reflecting from foil exhaust through ridge vents on the top of roof, this is an effective way to remove heat from the ceiling cavity before it ever comes into the building or residence. The Super R Aluminum foil has 97% reflectivity of the suns radiant heat.
6) All lumber used in roof, walls, rafters and joist are coated with Firefree 88. Two coats for higher rating.
7a) Next We spray 3"inches of Lapolla closed cell foam onto the foil we just coated with Firefree 88.
7 b) Next coat foam layer with Firefree 88
8) Now we leave a 1" inch dead air space sealed
9) One more layer of Innovative Insulation Inc. Super R radiant barrier reflective foil
10) Spray Lapolla closed cell foam 2" to 3" inches thick
11) One more layer of Freefire 88 fire resistant coating
12) Finished by ceiling materials, like tongue and groove lumber or fireproof equivalent materials, concrete, stucco etc...
13) On Superior Insulation method closed cell foam cost may vary from state to state and location. Please check with local spray Foam Contractors for pricing. This method is for Home owners that want extreme insulation for winter or summer, and the lowest utility bills, and designed for the highest energy efficiency, dust free and fire resistant.
